Rich, I am so sorry. She was a wonderful person, and a great mother! Just remember the good times.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Ms. Fischer's passing. She was truly a special person and compassionate nurse whom I am glad I had the pleasure of knowing. It just amazes me of all the children that came into the Powhatan Health Department including mine she always remembered them. She would always ask me how my boys were doing each and every time I saw her. She will forever have a place in my heart and I am truly going to miss her. May her family find peace & comfort in the wonderful memories you shared with her...know that God has a Special Angel.

I had the pleasure of working with Betty Fischer through the Health Dept. She and I completed nursing home screenings together. I have learned a great deal in the past six years working with her.
Although Betty was experiencing difficulties with her illness she never complained. If you asked her how she was doing she would reply "I am fine."
Betty was a dedicated nurse who cared about her patients and her family. We had numerous conversations about her beloved grandchildren,Justin and Savannah. She will be forever remembered in my heart. She is at peace and comfort without pain and suffering.
Sorrowfully, Zakiya Worsham
