Cindy Snodgrass Obituary

Published by Richmond Times-Dispatch from Jul. 25 to Jul. 26, 2009.
SNODGRASS, Cindy, of Columbia, Mo., formerly of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 19, 2009, after a valiant battle with cancer. Cindy was born in Electra, Texas on June 5, 1947 to Fred and Texanna Story and later adopted by Don Hatchett. She graduated from Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City and attended Oklahoma University. Cindy married her beloved, Roger Snodgrass Jr., on March 26, 1970 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They were blessed with a son, Matthew, who Cindy called the "Light of her life." Cindy loved old films, football, bridge club, books, especially mysteries, and time with the friends she made so easily. An exceptional homemaker and school booster, she was popular with parents and students alike. Cindy is survived by her husband, Roger; son, Matthew; sister, Donna Hatchett; niece, Sara Ethridge and her husband, Steven; cousin, Tresa Criswell; her dearest friends, Andy and Janice Shulick, and Taylor and Shauna Murrell; and faithful dogs, Peggotty and Mitzy. We will miss our Cinders, our Ginger, our Mom, our Cindy. Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Dear Roger,
I just wanted you to know how much Cindy meant in my life. Forty years ago she was my neighbor in Edmond Oklahoma and we both worked for you at Montgomery Ward. I always loved her because she was a wonderful friend when I needed one the most. You and your family will be in my prayers.
