After more than a few years I think Mr Farmer at least once a week, many times several times. ..... What would Mr Farmer do? ..... I sure wish Mr Farmer was running this job ! Lots of reasons to think of him ! Not the least is the kindness I saw in this touch rawhide of a man when I visited and saw he and Ms Ellens interaction See you again one day General ...... Although that’ll be a wonderful reunion I’m going to pray I stay around here with Martha a bit longer !

Don't you worry your precious hearts Madison and Jo.... I'm still working at the Spruance plant where Mr Farmer took me under his wing so many years ago... There isn't a week that goes by that I don't think of and share a story about him. He was a benefactor to so many you just can't imagine. Those of us lucky enough to have been on the fringes of his bigger life are proud to have had the chance and will always have a loving place in our heart for him. I miss him but be assured I will Never forget him. I know that this holiday season will be hard without him and my heart goes out to Ms Ellen and the rest of the family. God heals all in time.

The leader of the band is tired,
and his eyes are growing old.
But his blood runs through our instruments,
and his song is in our soul.
Our lives have been a poor attempt,
to imitate the man-
We're just the living legacy,
to the leader of the band.
We miss you and love you so much Daddy!

We were so saddened to learn of Uncle Clyde's passing. I have been watching videos of Clyde, Grandpa, Dad and Mark quail hunting and it reminds me of the kind and gentle spirit Uncle Clyde possessed in addition to a courageous heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ellen and the Farmer family during this difficult time. May the love and peace of Christ be with you all.
Love,
Tom, Angie, Matthew, Hannah and Hallie Jackson

I could not have worded it more to the point Albert. The "Commanding General" Farmer made it possible for more than we know to realize a larger dream. God rest his soul. May God in his infinite Love bless you Ellen and the family during this difficult time.

What can I say, I'm deeply deeply saddened. Mr. Farmer was indeed a man to aspire to; he was bigger than life to me. As a young man growing into maturity Clyde gave me opportunity and responsibility that helped me to get to a better place for myself and my young family ( I do realize that I'm just one of many lucky recipients of Mr. Farmers generosity). Many years have passed since he took that chance on me and I never, ever will forget the faith he showed in me. I'll also never forget the good times and the things we accomplished together working at DuPont, I as a contractor and Mr. Farmer as my mentor and "Boss". I have to say I always had nothing but the greatest respect for Mr. Farmer (even on the days he tortured me (in good nature of course)) I loved his fighting spirit and felt a fondness even love for a man that I would ALWAYS trust to have my back or speak up on my behalf if need be, I'd have done all of the same for him... Please forgive me Ellen; I just could not bear to see him during his these bad times... Selfish and weak it may seem, for my own personal reasons I had to keep my memories of the good years.... May Gods Love and Understanding give you added strength to get through this difficult time of loss.
