LITTLE, Daniel Scott, 73, of Richmond, New York and Washington, D.C., departed this life November 23, 2009 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Green Little; brother, James C. Little (Dionne); three nieces, Deborah Little-Bowser (Barrington), Cecilia L. Kinard and Lori L. Artist (Glenn); one nephew, Steven Little of San Antonio, Texas; two great-nieces, three great-nephews. He served in the U.S. Air Force until 1958 and later attended the City College of New York. He earned a Bachelor of Political Science degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. and attended Howard and George Washington University for post-graduate studies. He retired from the U.S. Department of Labor in 1993 as a manpower development specialist managing grants to U.S. Indian programs. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 2900 Hanes Avenue. Father Charles Poindexter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The Southern Poverty Law Center, P.O. Box 548, Montgomery, Alabama 36177. Arrangements by Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E.
