Dear Tina,Tim and Mike,
Words cannot express the love and respect I have for your Dad. He always made me feel like part of the Haskins family. I have such fond memories of his humor and wit, his business acumen, his love of you children and of course your Mom. He was a great customer, a person dedicated to his community, his friends and all of his loved ones. I hope you'll all save one of his caps. It will be a fun reminder of that special "character" you call Dad.
Much love to you all,
Bobby Siff

Dear Tina, Mike and Tim:

Dean was one of the good guys--actually one of the best. I am fortunate enough to be one of the folks (one of many) that Dean and Joe Markow helped put through school by allowing us to work every holiday, weekend, etc. and to put up with all of the nonsense caused by college age folks. Dean was fun to be around, had a great sense of right and wrong, truly respected Joe Markow and was generally loved by all. Some of the old "truck drivers", now CPA's. lawyers, judges, doctors and successful business men, owe a great deal to Dean and Joe Markow, I know I do. Over the years some of the guys would get Dean and Bubba and have a Christmas lunch and relive the good old times. He will truly be missed. Jimm Mann

We are so sorry to hear about Dean. Gerald grew up with his boys and I knew Dean through the florist business both as instuctor and fellow retailer... He truly exemplified the "Gentleman of Business" and we were all fortunate to call him a friend. He touched alot of lives and will truly be missed. Our love and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

Dear Tina, Mike and Tim,

I think about the special people in my life and your husband and Dad was certainly one of them. I will never forget his kindnesses, laughter and example to all of us fortunate to have made deliveries for Markow's. No doubt all of us carry his light and life with us. Please know you and your families are in my family's thoughts and prayers.

To The Haskins Family: My sincere sympathy in the loss of your Dad. Dean used to handle all of the flower arrangements from Markow Florist for my Dad, "Red" Craig, who was an executive with the then Export Leaf Tobacco Company. Every Christmas, Dean would send a complimentary poinsettia from Markow's to our home, and each year's flower pot seemed to be better than the year before. My Dad thought the world of you all's Dad, both in business and personal. Now that both of our Dad's have gone, we need to cherish those wonderful memories and hang on to them for dear life. I am sorry that I won't be able to come to Bennett Funeral Home to meet you guys, but know that my prayers and thoughts are with each of you. God Bless All of You. Love, Betsy
