Donald McNeely

McNEELY, Donald Divine, 70, of Chesterfield, Va., died June 10, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold D. McNeely; mother, Edith W. McNeely; and a half-brother, Ronald L. Smith. He is survived by his wife, Pat Thompson McNeely; sons, Michael McNeely of Covington, Va. and Raymond McNeely; one daughter, Stephanie Kegley of Chesterfield, Va.; and three granddaughters and two great-granddaughters. He is also survived by two sisters, Joyce (McNeely) Johnston of Waynesboro, Va. and Linda (McNeely) Madison of Chester, Va.; one brother Gary W. McNeely of Chesterfield, Va.; a half-brother. Bobby G. Smith of Covington, Va.; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Covington High School, served in the Army, worked on the C&O Railroad until he retired, was very active in fishing and golf, and was a member of the Elks and Moose Lodge of Covington, Va. He was also a member of the Good News Free Will Baptist Church of Chesterfield, Va. A memorial service was held for family and friends on Wednesday, June 16 at 1 p.m. at the Good News Free Will Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Glen Johnson.
