Denise Ann Giordano, 70, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, VA on Wednesday, November 5th. She was battling complications from a stroke a few months prior.
She was born in Bronx, NY on May 20th, 1955 to Lawrence and Victoria Herzing. She was the youngest of three siblings with her oldest being her brother Lawrence and next oldest her sister Lorraine (now deceased). Denise attended Maria Regina Catholic High School in NY, followed by Westchester Community College, and finally Fordham University. She graduated from Fordham with a degree of Bachelor of Science and ultimately found her calling to be in the flavorist and chemist sectors of the food industry. She had a successful career at companies such as General Foods and Campbell's Soup (from which she retired).
In her free time Denise had a great passion for golf and travel. Through which she made great memories with both new and old friends.
Denise's memory and legacy is kept alive by her husband Richard, and children Derek and Dani.
The 1st viewing will be at Morrissett Funeral Home in Chesterfield, VA on Monday the 10th between the hours of 2pm and 6pm.
The 2nd viewing will be at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home in Hawthorne, NY on Friday the 14th between the hours of 10am and 2pm, a burial will follow.
Donations to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) or The Michael J. Fox Foundation would be appreciated.
