Lewis, Paige, Kim, Skip and David,
I am so sorry that we could not make it to Richmond today for Donna's funeral. You don't know how bad this has bothered me that we were not able to come, but between work and Andrew's senior project due on Monday, there was just on way we could make it, but I wanted you all to know that you have been in my thoughts and prayers. Your mom was always very special to me and was always a joy to around. She was always one of my favorite cousins!!!
Love, Julia
(and Craig, Matt and Andrew)

Dear Don and Christina- Your old friends, Nick and Lisa, send you our deep condolences from NJ. We remember hearing about Donna over the years, and we just KNEW how special that woman must be growing up as twin to our dear Don. What a pair! Please know that we are praying for your whole family. Mr. Saunders,
As those of us who are newly acquainted with your son David, we have come to know the strong community and family ties your family has forged. We can only superficially understand the loss you may feel. All of us at World Pac Paper are overwhelmed with the sadness, which may be filling your heart and those of all of the family, friends, neighbors and children your lovely wife Donna has touched. It is her living legacy through her church membership and the spirited activity of children that inspires so many. Our prayers and sincere condolences go out to you and your entire family.

As a high school friend of Skip, Donna was like a second mom and I've always looked forward to seeing her and Lewis on my return trips to Richmond. I'm saddened by the loss, and the family is in my prayers. But I know that her smile and joy will live eternally in our hearts

Lewis, Don, Diane and Harris: As an elementary, high school and neighborhood classmate and friend of Donna and Don, I am saddened for her family's and friends' loss. I spoke with Donna only a few weeks ago and was left with hope as she spoke as always, reporting of her hope to feel better with the transfusion and of her prayers for Don and his upcoming surgery. Donna and I could always converse as if we had just spoken with one another, and we could always speak openly. Donna's picture is beautiful with the same smile I will always remember. May God grant you peace, knowing how comfortable she is without pain.
Love to all, Monie Plueger

I have fond memories of Donna when she was a pretty Junior Bridesmaid in our wedding in Charlotte in 1950. I know we lost touch over the years, but I know what you are going through since I lost my husband, Fowler, just 5 months ago. My deepest sympathy.

Paige:
We are so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. It is bittersweet when a believer goes to be with the Lord--those left behind miss her presence and involvement in their lives, but they are rejoicing that she is in the presence of her Lord and is enjoying her reward. Our prayers are with you and your family.

A day will not pass that we won't hear and remember Donna's laughter, smile, love, and warmth. Those who knew her always came away with lost of good memories. She was a great friend, sister, mother, and wife to her family and friends. May these thoughts surround her family and friends as each day passes. We send our prayers and love to all, Bill & Sandra Allen
