HARR, Dorothy E., 92, died peacefully on October 28, 2010 at her daughter's home in Mathews, Va. She was born in the Bronx, N.Y., on November 4, 1917 to the late William J. Burke and Anna E. Burke. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Harr; her sister, Edna Ferguson; and her brother, William J. Burke Jr. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Therese Burke of Sidney, N.Y.; daughter, Patricia D. Kinsley and her husband, Hap, of Mathews, Va.; son, James E. Harr Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Topeka, Kan.; three grandchildren, Anne and her friend, LeAnne Tubb, of Charlottesville, Va., Christine of Asheville, N.C., Benjamin Kinsley and his wife, Tracy, of Manitou Springs, Colo.; her brother, Paul Reilly and wife, Fabe, of Miami, Fla. Aunt Dorothy to many surviving Harr, Burke and Ferguson nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 31, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 1 p.m. in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Richmond, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Gloucester-Mathews-Middlesex Humane Society Animal Shelter, 6620 Jackson Lane, Gloucester, Va. 23061, to honor her and her dog, Remy.

To the Family of Mrs. Harr,
We just received word of her passing and wanted to express our deepest sympathies to you. I had been her lawn maintence man for the past 5 years and it was always a joy to help her. Every time I was there she would always ask how my daughter was doing. God bless you all.
