Dorothy Moyer Obituary

MOYER, Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth, 91, widow of Captain Harold Ivan Moyer, died on November 13, 2009. She was born in Greenville, S.C. and was a longtime resident of Richmond, Va. She was the daughter of Lee Ernest Porter and Sudie Brewer Porter of Greenville, S.C. She is survived by two brothers, Edward Eugene Porter Sr. of Greenville, S.C. and Joseph Marion Porter of Richmond, Va. She was predeceased by two sisters, Jennie Edith Nix of Wrightsville Beach, N.C. and Helen Burley of Greenville, S.C.; and one brother, James Ernest Porter of Charlotte, N.C. She is also survived by four nieces, nine great-nieces and nephews and 14 great-great-nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 2 p.m. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements by the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad Street.
