ELDON BULLOCK

BULLOCK, Eldon Lamar, 57, of New York, N.Y. departed this life on Monday, November 23, 2009. Eldon was born February 8, 1952 in Richmond, Va. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy B. Henley; brother, Gordon A. Bullock; and sister, Cynthia B. Piker. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Judith Byrd Bullock; sister, Patricia B. Lewis (Milton); brother, Bradford L. Bullock (Jessie); sister-in-law, Patricia B. Mitchell (Donald); aunts, Ethel P. Jones and Rosa E. Bullock; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Eldon was a graduate of Armstrong High School and Virginia Commonwealth University. He was a member of Convent Avenue Baptist Church, the Screen Actor's Guild, Actor's Equity, Men Allied in Prayer and the Men's Fellowship. He worked in the New York Public School System, as a teacher for a short period of time and prior to his illness did numerous stage productions. He was instrumental in the development of the Site 5 COOP. Eldon was a devoted husband and family member. He had a passion for acting and was a very animated, cheerful man, who was loved by many. He was very supportive to many people and used his intellect in an unconsciously loving way. Viewing will be Sunday, November 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Owens Funeral Home, 216 Lenox Avenue in New York, 212-427-7888. Homegoing services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at Convent Avenue Baptist Church, 420 W. 145th St., New York, N.Y. 10031 with repass immediately following. Private Burial.
