BINNS, Elizabeth Hughes, passed away December 2, 2009 at the age of 101. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Hudson Binns Jr. Elizabeth is survived by her son, James Hudson Binns III and his wife, Elizabeth; and their children, Stephen Binns and Martha Cohen; her daughter, Jane B. Saunders and her husband, Joe, and their children, Debbie Wright and Connie Wooldridge; and five great-grandchildren, Hudson, Sarah, Anna, Connor and Kyle. Elizabeth was a longtime member of Memorial United Methodist Church and of Kings Daughters and Sons, as well as an honorary member of the Princess Anne Hunt Club. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial United Methodist Church, with burial following in chapel cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. tonight at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Memorial United Methodist Church, 11000 Courthouse Rd., Charles City, Va. 23030, or to Home Delivered Meals c/o Senior Connections, 24 E. Cary St., Richmond, Va. 23219. Tributes may be posted at www.vincentfh.com.
