Emily was an incredible woman, wife, mother, and a fantastic "Nan." The stories shared at her memorial service were ledgendary and heart warming. As I listened to the wonderful memories (it's hard to top Nan taking Brian to King's Dominion instead of a family event!) I wondered if any of us attending her services would have half the nice words said about us when our time comes. Some people seem to shine a little brighter, smile more radiant, and give more of themselves. Emily always had a kind word, wise counsel, a good sense of humor and she was a good cook. My memories include many tasty meals around her table. I imagine heaven being a brighter place with Emily's spirit there. I am thankful she was a role model for more than just her immediate family. And I'll never forget she made one convincing gypsy telling fortunes at the Methodist Youth Fellowship Halloween party in 6th grade.

Te, Kitty & Connie -

`Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. She was truly a positive force in your lives obviously, but via her kind and happy spirit, she touched the lives of your friends, as well. I remember that activities were always more fun when your Mom was around. Take care of yourselves during this difficult time.

she was a wonderful woman with so much to offer to anyone who spent a moment with her. no matter the weather or the worry, she was in the greatest of spirits and lifted us all! she will be remembered for her smile and her benevolent spirit. i remember one time going to a family function that I was not too excited to attend when she jokingly offered to take me to Kings Dominion for the day instead. I laughed and said that i wished! Well, i fell asleep, and when I woke up, i see the huge sign and gates for Kings D! even better, she rode the roller coasters with me! how about that!?!? again, she is one of the greatest women I have ever met, and am extremely proud that she was my "Nan." you will forever be missed and always remembered! We can only try and live as she did... happiness by making others happy!

i love you Nan!
Brian
