EULA CORNETT Obituary

CORNETT, Eula Gray Agee, 101, died November 20, 2009, at home in Richmond. Born April 27, 1908, in Jonesville, Va., she was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Agee; her mother, Virgie Hamblen Agee; two brothers, John Ross Agee and Champ Norris Agee; and her husband, Fred Redmond Cornett. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Gray Fugate McEachern, (daughter of Richard Colonel Fugate, deceased), and her husband, Robert Monte McEachern, of Richmond, Va.; her stepdaughter, Shirley Cornett Brown of Cumming, Ga.; two granddaughters, Cheryl Elizabeth McEachern Smith and her husband, Bernard Clyde Smith III, of Poquoson, Va., and Paula Marie McEachern and her husband, Charles Louis Wilkins, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; three great- grandchildren, Leslie Marie Smith and Mary Elizabeth Smith of Poquoson, Va., and Edward Gray McEachern Wilkins of Winston-Salem, N.C. She is also survived by two stepgrandsons, Gary Brown and his wife, Christine Brown, of Alpharetta, Ga., and Jeff Brown of Cumming, Ga.; two stepgranddaughters, Susan Brown Howard and her husband, Leonard Howard, of Loganville, Ga. and Robin Brown Barnes of Ponte Vedra, Fla.; six stepgreat- grandchildren, Loren and Conner Brown, of Alpharetta, Ga., Lindsey and Ashley Howard of Loganville, Ga., and Madison and Garrett Barnes of Ponte Vedra, Fla.; and several cousins and many devoted friends. She earned her degree in education from Radford University. She had a great love for children and enjoyed years of teaching. After retiring from the Ohio school system, she and her husband, Fred Cornett, moved to Florida and together had many happy years of retirement. Eula was a member of Reveille United Methodist Church, 4200 Cary Street Road, Richmond, Va. 23221, where a memorial celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, December 6, at 2:30 p.m. in the sanctuary, preceded by interment in The Reveille Garth. Virginia and Family
So sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a very nice Lady. On a few occasion that I spoke to her at Church, your Mom would tell me how much that she appreciate what you and Bob had done for her. I can just see her smiling now.
