I had not seen Aunt France since around 1978-79. I had gone to Virginia to visit my cousin Punk and she and Uncle Warren came to see me and my daughter. I remember as always being very loving and gracious. I wish I could have spent more time with her. I loved being in her home as a child. She always made me feel welcome. She was a wonderful woman. I worked at Westport where Fran lived for over a year battling her illness. She accepted her ilness with courage and grace and never complained when I know she felt so bad. I will miss visiting with her in Room 208. It will not seem the same without her.

The tears I have shed are not just for a dear lady now in heaven, they are for we who are left behind. We could sit outside in good weather and play Triominoes and she always said the sun on her face was so wonderful. I began to understand through her how much could be missed by rushing through life. Her courage in illness, her quiet remarks (that hit the mark!) and her delight in ordinary pleasures will highlight my memories. She was very special and very dear, and will be sorely missed.

I worked with Fran at C & P Telephone Company for several years in the same office. She was always a delight, complimentary, and attended to her job well. I know how much she loved living in the apartments with her new found friends and some of which worked at the telephone company with Fran. She was always dressed perfectly and took pride in the way she looked and carried herself. She handled her illness with grace, dignitity, and did not complain. Fran was one special lady who will be missed.
Sincerely,
