MOORE, Gwendolyn Frances, 96, formerly of Lake Monticello, died on May 29, 2010. She was born on February 15, 1914 in Delphi, Indiana, the daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Ella Casad Ashby. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Robert G. Moore. Mrs. Moore was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a Girl Scout leader and past mother advisor with Order of Rainbow for girls. For the past eight years, Mrs. Moore has made her home with her daughter, Penny Gilmour, in White Stone. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Conway of Sunnyside Retirement Community in Harrisonburg and Penny Gilmour and husband, Dana, of White Stone; four grandchildren, Connie Flanagan and husband, Don, of Palmyra, Richard Bosworth and wife, Pam, of Pittsburgh, Pa., Tommy Clatterbuck and wife, Bonnie, of North Carolina, Michael Clatterbuck of Marshall; five great-grandchildren, Heather F. Roman of New Jersey, Lara Thomas of Richmond, Coy Clatterbuck of Lake Ridge, Amber and Ryan Clatterbuck of Marshall; four great-great-grandchildren, Jonas, Sean, Liam Roman and Madison Thomas; a sister presently 102 years old, Helen Lawrence of Los Angeles, Calif.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at Campbell Presbyterian Church, Weems. Interment will be private. Friends may call from 12 to 12:30 p.m.
