Helen O. DeBord

DeBORD, Helen O., 97, of Glen Allen, entered into eternal rest April 18, 2010, following a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Mark DeBord; her parents, Charles and Eva "Tippie" Cuckler; and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are a son and daughter in law, Gary and Gloria DeBord of Glen Allen; a beloved grandson, Jason DeBord and wife, Marty, of Salem, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Kate and Mark DeBord whom she lovingly adored; and several nieces and nephews. Helen was an Ohio department of natural resources retiree, with 37 years of service. She was a member of Hunton Baptist Church. Helen was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She will always be present in our hearts and minds. Family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bliley's-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio, with pastor, James, and Michael Cuckler officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 to 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Floral Hill Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society or flowers may be sent to Boyer Funeral Home, 125 West 2nd St., Waverly, Ohio 45690.
