Dear Jay, Mary Kate, Stuart, Julian and Family, I'm so sorry to hear about Glenn! A friend from Richmond called this morning to let me know. I'm deeply saddened and will keep all of you in my prayers. I would be there today if I could. I head up that way in three weeks and was going to see him then. Glenn has been a special friend and was gracious to help me in my Patrick Henry research for my novel. He took me to the farm to see where John Henry is buried, and I got to meet Stuart there. We had many spirited debates and discussions and I will miss the tete-a-tetes with Glenn! May God envelop you in His perfect peace.

Glenn was a Good Man. His love and opinions meant more to me than anyone I've met so far in this life. This is because I respected him more than anyone I've ever met. As a mentor and a friend Glenn stood as a redwood in my life. It is his name that accents some of the best stories when I get talking about the past. My children will know his name and face. Thank you Glenn for everything you did for me and my family. You didn't have to but you did, I'll love you forever, and my love goes out to his family who are just as wonderful as he was.
