KENDRICK, James Causey, departed this life on December 9, 2009. After the war, he engaged in lumbering in California, returning to Suffolk in 1951 to work with his father's business, Tidewater Brokerage Company. He was a construction engineer for numerous local projects, the most challenging being the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. He was proud to be an Eagle Scout and loved the great outdoors. He performed many acts of kindness for his friends and neighbors and was devoted to his family. Though I didn't know James, I am sorry for your loss. I'm sorry I didn't know him.

Coincidentally, my mother-in-law's cousin, William Jones, just met him or a gentlemen from his home a month or so ago when he offered to help with getting the trash can to the curb on Causey Ave. We tried to determine his kinship to my father, John Kendrick Hutton. Also, Mrs. Woolford was my geometry teacher at SMS and Mary Douglas graduated a year before I arrived.
Sending kindest regards,
Mary Pelham Hutton White
