Dear Kay Marie and the Geiger Family,

I am so sad that I will not be able to attend any of the events that celebrate the life of this exceptional man of God. You know, firefighters are admired because they can run into places that everyone else is running away from. Many people run from other people who are in deep grief and pain. Joe did not run. He stood like a pillar of comfort and compassion to the broken people who came to the healing ministry. His presence in any room or hallway (I always picture him with sincerity, listening to someone in a hallway)... brought a level of legitimacy and confirmation to people's wounds.He helped usher in a safe place for people to heal.Thus he used his quiet ways to disarm the cripling, isolation and shame that held women like me and so many of my friends in "The Pit." Dear God thank you for Joe and his service to you. Bless Kay Marie and his family at this time. Amen

Such a sweet man! I loved his quiet voice and soft manner. His love for others showed in every breath he took. You could tell that God was first in his life, as he led his life with God on his "sleeve".
God now has a chance to shake his hand in person, and Joe has the chance to be with his God, his parents and all other family members in heaven. His struggle is over, and he rests.
My heart is with Kay Marie and his children and families. My prayers got to God for comfort for them all.
