REID, Julian David, 81, of Broadway, Va., died July 6, 2010, at Life Care Center of New Market. He was born January 22, 1929, in Rockingham County, and was a son of the late Frank L. and Ollie Harpine Reid. He worked for Montgomery Tire Service for over 20 years. He worked in the accounting department at Blue Ridge Truss and Supply at Basye for 17 years. He was a member of Linville Creek Church of the Brethren. He was a member of the Workforce, and a former member of the Frederick Moose Lodge. On December 19, 1953, he married the former Jean Smith, who survives. Also surviving are a son, David Reid of Chesterfield, Va.; a daughter, Susan Tomasello of Ijamsville, Md.; a sister, Janet Dellinger of Broadway; a brother, Paul Reid of Broadway; five grandchildren, two great- grandchildren. Rev. Paul Roth and Rev. Bill Zirk will conduct a memorial service 10:30 a.m. Friday at Linville Creek Church of the Brethren in Broadway. Burial at Linville Creek cemetery will be private. Friends may call anytime at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway. Memorial contributions may be made to Broadway Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 666, Broadway, Va. 22815.
