Louise Brown Obituary

BROWN, Mrs. Louise S., 93, resident of Heritage Hall, King George, Va., died September 20, 2010. She was the widow of Walter Blair "Bill" Nixon Jr. and Donald Wayne Brown. She was a member of Andrew Chapel Church, Past Matron of Emily B. Chinn Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #83, Warsaw, Va. She retired from the Maritime Commission in D.C. near the end of WWII and from the Bank of Montross in 1982. She was preceded in death by daughters, Ellen Hasselvander and Donna Sviatko. She is survived by daughter, Gail Davis and husband, Steve, of King George; son-in-law, Jerry Sviatko of Alexandria; two sisters, Helen Suttle of Stafford and Edythe Woodring of Richmond; five grandchildren, Dainan Gibson, Stephen Davis Jr., Chris Davis, Melody Herbert and Courtney Sviatko; seven great-grandchildren, Aaron Landman; Thomas and Alexandra Gibson; Jamie, Emma, Allie and Anna Davis; and many nieces and nephews. Louise was a kind, generous caregiver and friend, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and a true example of Christian love. She now resides in heaven. Visitation with the family will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, September 24, with services beginning at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church, Montross, Va. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A reception will be held after the service.
