Marie South Obituary

SOUTH, Marie Vincent, 89, of Midlothian, went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 22, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin E. South; and her parents, Alvin G. and Marie G. Vincent. Mrs. South was a graduate of John Marshall High School and a retired state employee with the Veterans Administration. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Randy and Janet O'Brien South and Dale and Valerie Johnson South; two grandsons, Matthew and Jonathan South; a brother and his wife, Ronald D. and Carol Vincent; and her sister-in-law, Myra Vincent. Mrs. South was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a charter member and past president of the Dogwood Doll and Toy Club. Her family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday. Entombment will follow at Dale Memorial Park.
