June 27, 1931 - November 10, 2025
Phyllis Trammell Hancock, age 94, of Chesterfield, VA, widow of Percy Eugene "Gene" Hancock, died November 10, 2025. She was born in the Manchester area of the City of Richmond, VA, to Carroll Jackson and Pearl Louise Jordan Trammell. She enjoyed family research; was a graduate of John Marshall High School, and a retiree of Verizon Virginia. She is survived by her brother, Douglas W. Trammell; his son, Wayne Trammell; Wayne's wife, Olivia, and children, Andrew and Lauren; his daughter, Sharon T. Toth, her husband, Larry; son, Michael Spence; Michael's wife, Sarah, and children, Brayden, Caylee, and Blake; brother, William "Bill" L. Trammell, his wife, Sandra; son, David Trammell, daughter, Andrea T. Hanvey, her husband, Randy; sons, Mason, Mason's wife; Imelda, son, Xavier; and Bryce, Bryce's wife; Lindsey, Kimberly Willis Overbey and her husband, Howard.
A visitation will be held on November 13, 2025, at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Services, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd, N. Chesterfield, VA, 23234, beginning at 2 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at 3 p.m.
A private family interment will be held at a later date.

How to say goodbye to my dearest friend of 65 years and coworker of over 30 years is very hard! We often spoke of many memories of when we traveled, tried many different activities, some of which we still laughed about recently, and also of our struggles and successes at work. I will so miss picking up the phone to talk with her as well as our infrequent visits over lunch. I have many wonderful memories I will cherish. Love you Phyllis and many condolences to her family, which she greatly cherished.
