COLLINS, Mildred Brockman, died peacefully Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Westminster Canterbury of the Blue Ridge in Charlottesville, Virginia. The staff at Westminster Canterbury, Health Care 2 is to be commended for their excellent care of this fine lady in the last year of her life. Mildred was born September 30, 1916 in Louisa County, daughter of the late Samuel Asa Brockman and Irene Hiter Brockman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy W. Collins. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Woodward Funeral Home, 200 Fredericksburg Ave., Louisa, Va. on Wednesday, January 13, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Russell K. Jurek at 10 a.m. at Louisa Baptist Church, followed by interment at Hillcrest Cemetery in Louisa County, Va. on Thursday, January 14, 2010. Memorial contributions may be made to the Louisa Baptist Church Building Fund, 305 East Main Street, Louisa, Va. 23093 or Louisa Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1777, Louisa, Va. 23093.
