Pearl Elmore Obituary

ELMORE, Pearl Maxine, 80, of Woodbridge, Va., passed away December 30, 2010. Maxine was born on January 3, 1930. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Margaret Elmore. She is survived by two sisters, Virginia Elmore Padgett of Bumpass, Va. and Audrey Mae Elmore of Woodbridge; two nieces, Christine Padgett Harris of Bumpass and Lisa Padgett Hancock and husband, C.B., of Beaverdam, Va.; four great-nephews, Bradley Harris and his wife, Sarah, Brian Harris, Eric Hancock and Jared Hancock; and one great-great-niece, Isabelle Harris. She was retired from Verizon after 30 years of service, a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Woodbridge and a member of the Brightwood Rebekah Lodge in Washington, D.C. A funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Mountcastle Life Celebration Home, 13318 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge, Va. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and suggest in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Woodbridge, 13600 Minnieville Road, Woodbridge, Va. 22193 or the Alzheimer's Disease Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601.

I was very saddened to read of Maxine's death. I have many fond memories of the Elmore girls at the old church on the highway. May your own precious memories bring you comfort at this very sad time. Jane (Floyd) Graham
