CROWTHER, Mrs. Ruth M., 93, of Kilmarnock, widow of Robert E. Crowther Jr., died Friday, October 23, 2009. She is survived by four sons, Robert E. Crowther III and David C. Crowther, both of Kilmarnock; Randolph M. Crowther of Richmond and Stephen P. Crowther of Fredericksburg; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Marian M. Young of Raleigh, N.C. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 27, at 2 p.m., at the Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, with interment in the Clifton Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Dept., P.O. Box 1295, Kilmarnock, Va. 22482 or to the Kilmarnock United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 2095, Kilmarnock, Va. 22482.
