Dear Johnny, I said it all in my letter, but still had to take this opportunity to express once again our exteme sadness over losing Sarah. Besides being a friend since I can't remember when, she introduced me to my husband of 63 years and remained such a dear and loving friend for the rest of our lives. There will never be another Sarah..We love you, Gwin and Bob

Dear Mr. Davis,
I want you to know that I am thinking of you and your family during this sad time. What a grand women she was and how lucky you were to be married to her just as she was so lucky to have you. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Fondly Emma Harvin Currigan

Dear Johnny,
It was with great distress that Betsy and I learned of Sarah's death. She was a important part of our life and we will miss her greatly. Her Cramerton home was the gathering place of a splendid group of young people. Her parents always made us feel at home. She was one of the most popular girls in our crowd and a much sought after date. I even rode my bycycle all the way from Gastonia to Cramerton just to see her. She will always be remembered an an important part of our life as a sweet adorable girl.
Please accept our heart felt sympathy,
Betsy and Bill Lawson
