My last personal contact with Silestine was her comforting me after the passing of my mother. I later received a get well card from her that contained her reflections on nature and God. Her concerns for me were received most tenderly.
You have my deepest sympathy.

It is with grief and sadness to hear of Silestine's passing. She was a friend and long-time sister in Christ at Mt Tabor. May there be peace with her as she joins her parents and her daughter. I send my prayers and condolences to the Booker family.

I was grieved to hear of the passing of Silestine. Silestine and I went to High School together, went to Virginia State University together and then decided together to go off and work for the FBI in DC. She and I kept in touch throughout the years. We often talked about our grandchildren. To her family, may God give you strenth to bear this loss, as only He can do, and the comfort you stand in need of. I pray God will provide you with unfailing strength to bare this heaviness of your sibling's death. When mortal life has passed through all the phases and experiences allotted to it, and its responsibilities have been met and fulfilled, though saddened by its close, take comfort in reflecting on your sister 's life and how she spent it with you and others.

Silestine left a memorable place in my heart when we met as members of Bethany Baptist Church in Lindenwold, New Jersey. We both shared a love for writing and a love for the Lord. I will always carry fond memories of Silestine in my heart. Silestine is a reminder that we should cherish our loved ones here on earth while we can. Just two weeks ago she celebrated her birthday. My prayers go out to Silestine’s family and loved ones. Hold on to God’s unchanging hand. Silestine is now resting in His arms. God bless you.

I was saddened to hear of Silestine's passing. Silestine and I go back some 35 plus years. She was my maid of honor in my wedding. We always kept in touch and I will never forget her love. Just two weeks ago we laughed and caught up on old times. She visited my church and we both enjoyed our time together. Little did I know it would be our last.I pray for you her family that God will strengthen you during this most difficult season. Remember her love for others and her caring spirit. Silestine is where we all want to be, in the Arms of Jesus.

My prayers are with your family during this time. I served with Adrienne and loved her dearly. For Jasmine and Lorenzo, I pray for continued strength, wisdom, and guidance from the Lord for both of you. I don't claim to know what this time is like for you, but I do know there is a 'man' whose understanding surpasses our own...that He weaves the hard times and the victories in our lives together to fulfill His purpose. Jasmine, I pray that the Lord continues to strengthen your hands as He did for Nehemiah. For whatever he has promised to you is and will be so glorious that ppl will know nobody but Jesus could have done it. Stay geared up in Him and know your SPBC family is praying for you and your family in this time.

I am sorry to hear about the passing of Silestine Booker. She was indeed a dedicated Child of God, and works diligently to complete every task. I had the pleasure of working with Silestine in the Youth Ministry. Please keep in mind that.... "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord."
May the family and friends be strengthened and encouraged during this season of thier lives.
Remember that we all have to cross this path in our lives, and it's important to be ready when the Lord calls your name!
God bless!

To the Family of Silestine:
I am so troubled to hear of the sudden passing of my high school friend. We were great friends since 8th grade. We met and played in Orchestra together at East End Jr. HIgh School. Our mothers were childhood friends as well; and I taught her precious Adrienne. PLease accept the sympathy of our family. We are praying for your peace and comfort that only comes from God. May he add a special blessing to Silestine as she comes to live with him.
With love,
