To the Bibbs Family,
I had the pleasure of knowing Mrs.Bibbs while she played for the youth choir at First Baptist Midlothian. She always had a smile on her face everytime I saw her, she made me want to sing. She has left pleasant memories and she will be missed.

Sonora was my cousin "Loney". My mother was her first cousin and just so happened to have passed last April as well. Our extended family in DC, Halifax and Richmond share your grief. "Loney" as an excellent educator and friend. She will be missed.

Mrs. Bibbs was my daughter's teacher at Fairfield Middle School. She was my daughter's favorite teacher. I could go to work and be comfortable knowing that Mrs. Bibbs was a part of my daughter's life during that school year because I knew how much she cared about her and all of her students. Talking with her was like talking with my mom. My condolences go out to you and your family and my prayers are with you all.

I first met Sonora Bibbs when I was an undergraduate student at VCU pledging Sigma Gamma Rho. Sonora was the 'big sister" in the graduate chapter that my line never forgot. She truly taught us the meaning of sisterhood and pledging to the fullest. In later years we worked together at Fairfield Middle School. I have many fond memories of Sonora and she will be deeply missed.

I met Sonora during my time as a librarian at FMS and grew to love her. She had a wonderful humor, loved the children, and her faith shone from her. I can't express the shock and sorrow I felt upon hearing of your loss. Grief is for you and all of us - the living - but Sonora is experiencing true joy now.

My thoughts and prayers are with "The Wyatt and Bibbs family". I have always thought very highly of Mrs Bibbs as my previous 6th grade teacher, mother and mentor. She took me in as one of her very own children and I am most gracious because of what she did for me as a child. Mrs. Bibbs worked very hard with me and my family in as well as outside of school and I will never forget those moments. She will truly be missed but never forgotten.

Mrs. Bibbs was my favorite teacher and ever so often, I would visit her at Fairfield Middle School. It was not her gift in teaching that left an impact [in my life], but her diligence and meek spirit in helping others to accomplish goals that I will truly miss. I am at a loss for words but my memories of Sonora are such wonderful memories. She was one of the first members of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority that I came to know as a true sister. Our sorority will miss her. She served our president and as chair of our Debutante Ball, among other leadership rolls. I will miss her. She was not only my soror but my friend. Last Saturday (April 10) my brother Charles Jackson was funeralized, so my heart goes out to your family during this difficult time...I know how proud Sonora was of her grandbaby who is now a little one.
