SUZANNE ROSE

ROSE, Suzanne Bower, 60, formerly of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at her home in Artesia, N.M. Suzanne was born August 22, 1949 in Richmond, Va., the daughter of H. Gordon Bower and Florence (Jones) Bower. She graduated from Thomas Dale High School in Chester, Va. in 1967 and on August 30, 1969 she married Michael Rose in Chesterfield, Va. She was a stay-at-home mom. She is survived by her husband, Michael Rose; son, MSgt. Christopher Rose and his wife, TSgt. Christina, of Tucson, Ariz., both serving in the U.S. Air Force; daughters, Lisa Frederick and her husband, Cory, of Midland, Texas and Amanda Rose of Artesia; sisters, Carolyn Morowitz, Patsy Taylor, Linda Hess and Becky Burleigh; granddaughters, Layla M. Frederick of Midland, Texas and Emily Kelley of Lake Orion, Mich.; grandson, Robert W. "Robbie" Rose of Tucson, Ariz.; and mother-in-law, Louise Rose of Midlothian, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). Her funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Girl Scout Commonwealth Council of Virginia, 7300 Hanover Green Dr., Mechanicsville, Va. 23111, Boy Scouts of America, 4015 Fitzhugh Ave., Richmond, Va. 23230, or American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Va. 23060.
