Teresa Dodson

DODSON, Teresa C., 59, of Chester, Virginia, died on December 18, 2009. Teresa is the daughter of Glenwood Hutchinson Callahan and the late, Loman Callahan. Teresa enjoyed life with her family, especially her grandchildren, they were the apple of her eye. She was a selfless person who always thought of others first and an exceptional cook for her family and friends, who were continually bragging about the meatloaf and chicken casserole. She loved going to the beach, especially vacationing at Topsail Beach with her family in North Carolina, and attended church faithfully at Colonial Heights Baptist Church, where she enjoyed listening to the church choir and the sermons. Teresa is survived by her husband of 35 years of marriage, C. Wayne Dodson of Chester, Virginia; daughter, Jessica E. Sisk and husband, Bruce Jr., of Henrico; son, Zachary I. Dodson of Chester; grandchildren, Jillian E. and Carter W. Sisk; sister, Debra C. Hundley and husband, Clyde, of Martinsville, Virginia; brothers, Tim Callahan of Martinsville, Virginia and Dean Callahan of Yadkinville, North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews, and her precious dog named Elvis, who was her sidekick and traveled with her everywhere. The family will receive friends at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 1 to 2 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Colonial Heights Baptist Church, 17201 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
