SMITH, Virginia Drinkwater, 65, of Wilson, N.C., died Thursday, April 22, 2010. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at West Nash United Methodist Church, Wilson, N.C. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Fort Hill Memorial Park, Lynchburg, Va. The Rev. William Holliday and the Rev. Lewis Harris Sr. will officiate. The family will receive friends 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at West Nash United Methodist Church. She was owner-operator of Dove HealthCare, Inc. Mrs. Smith is survived by a daughter, Virginia Tisdale of Greenville, N.C.; two sons, Mike Tisdale and wife, Stacey, of Nashville, N.C. and Russell Smith and wife, Lynne, of Mechanicsville, Va.; five grandchildren, Cassidy, Chase, Rachel, Adam and Ryan; two sisters, Jeannie Sullivan and husband, Fred, of West Grove, Pa., Peggy Harris and husband, Lewis, of Martinsville, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband the late Larry Eugene Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory may be directed to West Nash United Methodist Church Pre-School, P.O. Box 8298, Wilson, N.C. 27893, or Heifer International, 1 World Ave., Little Rock, Ark. 72202. Arrangements are by Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, N.C. Virginia was a good friend of mine, and we shared many fun times with our little boys when we lived in Crewe in the late '60's. We also spent time together after we both remarried and moved to North Carolina. Boo was a very special person with a sweet spirit, and I am going to miss her.
