Today is a difficult day. You are missed tremendously and still loved so deeply, the love is never ending. My angel, my friend, I miss you, I love you, You are in Heaven I know, but the pain is still ever present in my heart. You are the brightest star in the night and the most precious and beautiful ray of sunshine through my days. Gone too soon. I will love you forever.

I learned a painful lesson yesterday in finding this obituary. You don't let time and distance come between you and someone you love. If they haven't called you, or they become distant, seek them out. Don't let busy schedules and time keep you from reaching out. I am hurting deeply knowing all this time has gone by and I'm just finding out Bubba passed. I did not get to say good-bye. He was a sincere gentleman, a loving kind heart, an angel, a friend. He led me to God and helped me re-gain faith I had lost. I will forever keep him close to my heart and I will forever miss him. I will forever struggle with this loss but absolutely know he is in heaven. He was a gift to us and God had a sweet plan for him. He touched my life and gave me strength in some very dark times. I will always remember him for his love and compassion and love for life. My heart goes out to his family for this tremendous loss. I will forever love him and will forever remember him. He will always be a shining star and the most beautiful ray of sunshine.

I just heard the tragic news yesterday evening. My heart goes out to the family at this most difficult time. Bubba and I were in a lot of the same classes in Varina. I was so sorry and shocked when I heard of Bubba's passing. Bubba was a wonderful young man and I know that you are going to miss him very much. I am so so sad and sorry to hear about Bubba. I will never forget that big beautiful smile and how he always made me laugh, he was one of a kind and there will never be another like him. He was so kindhearted and loved everybody. We started out as being neighbors and became family. Bubba was a uncle to my girls Kristal & Kellie when they were growing up, they loved him so much. I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.

This is so true when we think of Bubba. His passing takes us back to a time when he alone inspired the youth in all of us. His uncanny ability to always bring out the fun and purity that existed in being children. Bubba was a like the big brother I never had - and to my brother and sister a symbol of what was “cool”. He was a big part of our lives at such a young age and although time and distance separated us, I always new that I was fortunate to have known such a wonderful person. A person of immeasurable goodwill and boyish charm. A person able to inspire the child in all of us by remaining young and free spirited. I can remember the Elvis impersonation at the Bendles as if it were yesterday and so wanting to catch “that towel”. Bubba you will truly be missed in more ways than you know. However, for Walter, Lois and Penny although there are no words to take away your sorrow…I hope you can take some comfort in knowing that “Glenda” is there and will watch and guide you son as she loved him so very much!

The Loving Family,
Growing up with Bubba and watching the neighborhood grow up around us in Nelson Estates is just the beginning of my memories with Bubba. The many times and years playing backyard football, wiffle ball, and Anirav pool are what friendships are made of. I was fortunate enough to still run into him from time to time around Richmond even though our adult life had spread us apart. Throughout all the years he always had a smile on his face.
