William Davis

DAVIS, William "Don," age 77, of Colonial Heights, Va., passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010. He was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., and was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Ray and Nell Harmon Davis; and his wife, Iona Faye Davis. Don was an ordained minister with The Salvation Army for 31 years before retiring and was recognized as a faithful steward of Salvation Army resources and programs. In retirement, Don continued his ministry as an active Corps soldier, teaching the adult Sunday school class. He is survived by sons, Bryan Davis, Tim Davis and his wife, Maribel; daughter, Jennifer Dodd and her husband, Brack; and two grandchildren, Danielle and Matthew Davis. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at The Salvation Army Citadel, 5327 Orcutt Ln., Richmond, Va. 23224. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions are made to The Salvation Army, 2 West Grace St., Richmond, Va. 23220.
