Bill was an awesome man of integrity. I had the pleasure of working with Bill at Industrial Chemicals. He often advised me on business decisions. This time of year (Easter) is especially important because Bill once invited me to breakfast with him and Lois. We laughed and share memories. Bill's legacy will forever be a part of me and my family. Continue to Rest in Heavenly Peace.

Lois and William,
Our heartfelt prayers go out to the Lane family. Bill was a long time business associate of my father and became a friend of the family when my dad became ill. He was there when we needed him and lent comfort to our family at his funeral. I have the utmost admiration for his kind heart and try to live by his example of a good person. He will be immensley missed by the Sharry's.
I know he will rest in peace~

Lois & William(III),
I was so sad to hear of Bill's passing. Bill was originally a business aquaintance and I'm fortunate to have also considered him as a friend. He was so sincerely kind, generous, naturally giving and was just one of those few people that you cross paths with in this life (if you're lucky enough) who end up leaving a huge imapct on you. What a truly wonderful and very funny man he was. I know both of you along with all the rest of your family and friends will miss Bill terribly. Hang in there.

Where to begin. Uncle Bill came into my life just when I needed some guidance as to what to do with my life. He gave my Mother comfort when she was near the end battling cancer....he told her he would see to it that I received a college education...and he did just that. I owe him so much. For a brief time he was like a Father to me for I didn't even remember mine, having lost him when I was two. His generousity, love & HUMOR was unmeasured. I will miss him so much. Susan Moore

Lois,
We were so sorry to see Bill's passing in the newspaper. Although we haven't kept in touch for years, I still have fond memories of our time bowling in the ladies league at King Pin, and when you and Bill so graciously opened your home to entertain us. You were indeed a special couple to us. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. We were just talking about you guys when we saw that Hartwell had passed away recently. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

There are people who come into this world that you know right away are rare and special. They touch your heart, break through the noise of everyday life, make you think, make you laugh, make moments you spend with them memorable, and give you special, personal and thoughtful advice. Bill was one of those people. I am grateful to have known and loved him. Lois and William he will be greatly missed, this rare and special man. Peace and Love -

Bill Lane has been a mentor and a guiding light for me for 25 years. Whenever I had a life dilemma, he was always there to offer humor and widom in equal doses. When Bill and Lois found out my wife and I had eloped and she had never had her official wedding, they immediately set out planning and hosting a day we will never forget.
Bill was and will always be an inspiration. Godspeed.
