Herbert Lebold
Herbert L. Lebold, 77, died in his home on Thursday, October 14, 2010. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Herb was born and raised in Spring Mill, Whitemarsh Twp. to his late parents, John William Lebold and Marian (Davidson) Lebold.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary (Coyne) Lebold, and seven children: John Lebold (Elizabeth), of Miami, FL, MaryEllen Dragon (Steven) of Birdsboro, Kathy Trefz (Robert) of Warrington, LouAnn Basile (Richard) of Gilbertsville, Kristina Antonelli (Rocco) of Fairview Village, Raymond Lebold of Conshohocken and Patricia Rigg (Kevin) of Gilbertsville. In addition he had 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Marion (Ed) Berg of Quakertown, and Sara Lebold of Woodbury, NJ. He was preceded in death by his brother, John "Butch" William Lebold, Jr.
Herb believed that there was nothing more important in life than family and serving your community. he served his community in many wonderful ways. He was a Whitemarsh Township police office for 25 years. He was a member of the National Guard with the Tank Unit for two years. He was a life member of the Spring Mill Fire Company for over 60 years. As a child he was their first mascot, joined as a Junior Fireman at age sixteen, and since then has been an active member holding all of the executive positions in the organization. He was a life member of the Montgomery County Firemen's Association, the Firemen's Association of the State of Pennsylvania and the Goosenecks. For over 40 years and up to the time of his passing he continued to make sure his duties as secretary for the Fireman's Relief Association were taken care of. He was also an active member of the FOP Lodge #14 in Conshohocken.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Moore & Snear Funeral Home, 300 Fayette St., Conshohocken, PA 19428 on Sunday, October 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. or Monday, October 18 from 9 to 10 a.m. Services will be at the funeral home and followed by the burial at George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Ave., Plymouth Meeting.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Spring Mill Fire Company, 1210 E. Hector St., Conshohocken or Montgomery Home Care and Hospice, 25 W. Fornance St, Norristown, PA 19401.

my condolences to the Lebold family I had the great privelage to be one of the EMTs that got to take care of Herb for some of his treatments he was one of my rare patients whom actually would hold a conversation with you while transporting I got to meet 1 of his daughters during 1 of those transports and could see the love and happiness his family brought to him and how he had been a wonderful husband,father,provider,friend he will be greatly missed

Dear Lebold family, both my husband and nyself knew Herb for quite a few years. He was never anything but happy and pleasant, cause he loved what he did. Herb's dad John, saved my dad's life in 1948. He will be greatly missed.
