WILKES-BARRE — Jerome "Jay" Page passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. During his illness he was surrounded by his family and friends.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on March 28, 1963, he was the youngest son of Joseph and Stella (Kozlowski) Page of Wilkes-Barre. Jerome was a graduate of GAR High School, class of 1981, and received dual associate's degrees from Penn State University. Jerome was most recently employed by St. Luke's Villa.
It was never quiet when Jerome was around. He always seemed to be entertaining the crowd around him. His love of life, generosity and laughter will be truly missed. His friends lovingly called him "The Protector."
He had many interests, including NASCAR and professional football, especially the Philadelphia Eagles. He was in various dart leagues around the Wilkes-Barre area and was a member of the Oak Grove Club, Wilkes-Barre.
The light of Jerome's life was his daughter, Alaina Rae Page, and he lovingly spoke of her accomplishments to anyone who would listen.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Chepulis; an infant brother, Robert; brother-in-law, Mark Bozentka, in 2010; and his brother, Bob Page, in 2011.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Alaina Rae Page, and her mother, Cheryl Page, Mountain Top; girlfriend, Mary Jones, Wilkes-Barre; brother, Walt Page and his wife, Jean, Ridley Park; sister, Patty Bozentka, Wilkes-Barre; sister-in-law, Nancy Page, Wilkes-Barre; nieces and nephews, Angie Page Grodzicki, Mike Page, Matt Page, Samantha Page and Marko Bozentka; great-nephews, Eric and Jeremy Grodzicki and Shane Page; great-niece, Natalia Bozentka; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Hope Parish, Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass in the church.
The family expresses their gratitude to the staff of Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit for their help and support and the wonderful care they gave to Jerome during his illness.
A special fund has been established for his treasured daughter, Alaina Rae Page, at PNC Bank. Donations can be sent to Jendrzewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.

I can't believe this. It seems like just yesterday that our Hancock Street gang was playing together and we were the best of friends, but how time has passed. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all the Page Family. The Jerome I remember as a 12 year old kid doesn't seem to have changed at all, he grew up to be a very happy man. God bless you Jerome.
