Mulcahy Family,
My deepest condolences on Walter's passing. I have many fond memories of him at Taft Furniture and at the Furniture Markets where he was always willing to help a young road salesman learn the business. My father before me and I always had a great fondness and respect for him. He will truly be missed.

What memories I have of Walt Mulcahy. As a good friend of John's in our early years playing youth hockey and later at LaSalle, Mr. Mulcahy was always a solid presence, a rock who was at most times soft spoken but could always be counted on when we needed a pep talk, or a kick in the butt. My memories go further back because I have the photos of Walt and my uncle, the late Jonn Drislane, playing basketball for CCHS in 1940. He was quite an asset to every one he touched.
Mrs. Mulcahy, Matt, Johnny, Jim and Mary, with the exception of John, it's been many years since I've seen you, but I offer my condolences for the loss of such a great man.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow attendee and the family at this time. Attendees are recognized on the theory "if it's important to some to mention in an obit, then we can spare a few prayers". Perhaps, the time at MC was both formative and important to our comrade. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
