We played for the championship team Whitneys in Little League at Arbor Hill. I just searched out his name when I found the newspaper clipping my mother saved all these years. I just shed a few tears, I was hoping to talk to him again.

"It's the gift behind the thought that counts..." As I awoke this morning, I couldn't help but think of you and my grandmother. I find myself praying, thanking, thinking of both you every time I have success here in Florida. The place we both love and talked about in so much detail. I thought the above quote was very fitting after reading your facebook page. I'm still in shock and wish we had more time. We became very close in recent years with your visits to see the family. You always brought so much laughter, joy, and advice. We are all going to miss you dearly and try to find comfort knowing you are in a better place. We know you will be watching over us and continuing to point us in the right direction. We always enjoyed your company and have never laughed harder from such great stories. We will remember our beautiful days at the camp, our Christmas gatherings, our trips to Saratoga, David and Michelle's recent wedding, and our late night conversations we had with my father. We have lost a great person that will always be remembered as Uncle Jim...

My sincere condolences to friends and family of Jim Wormer. I was a team mate of Jim's in the Arbor Hill Babe Ruth League team of "Tobin Packing." He was our best player and the leader of of our team that won the city championship in 1960. I'll always remember Jim as a really nice guy.

Our sincere sympathy and condolences to all the Perrys (Bruce, Rick and Jacqueline), Joan Maloney and Patricia Wormer, and those in Australia. Jim was my first great childhood friend, having met even before Kindergarten. We lived just a few doors away from each other. We walked to school together almost every day up through High School. These were very Happy Days for us, our families and friends. (We should have been on TV.) Jim was the natural leader of the group: a great student, the greatest of athletes and always fun to be with. Down through the years we would meet in Athens Ohio; Boston; and DC, and other very cool cities and places. (Jimmie was the essence of Mr. Cool.) Each time we met was an immediate re-aquaintance, as if we had never been apart - with hours of hilarious quips, laughs, hugs and whirlwind trips down memory lane. Jim was every one's best friend. When last we met, we kidded about our 50th HS Reunion in 2015. At the last one, we sat with Charlie Leigh, laughing about Herbie Beckett and the great games of the AHS 1965 perfect FB season. Jimmie at QB, Charlie at HB and thousands in the stands standing and cheering for two of AHS's all time greatest STARS. Jimmie, you have left us all too soon, You will always be in my heart and will remain in my fondest memories,

Jim was my cousin on my Mother, Isabella Pratt nee Balharrie, side. We have very good memories of our visits to Jim and also Charlie & Betty, in Salt Lake City, Albany & Washington DC in the 1980's plus Jim & Charlie's visit to Australia. Jim always said he wanted to come back to visit his Aussie Family one day but unfortunately it was never to be. Jim will be sadly missed by John, Gillian, James & Adam Pratt. May you Rest in Peace.
