I believe I served with Edgar Allen Hays aboard the USS BIGELOW at mayport in the early 60's. He was a fine young man and sailor.

Dearest Valarie & Lisa, I was sad to hear of your father's passing, so it is with heartfelt sympathy that I write this.The Lord knows just how much any of us can bear.He'll never put too much on our shoulders nor our hearts. So if it seems as if the whole world "IS" on your shoulders, just let go and let God have his way to your hearts!! We need the Lord everyday, but in times like this we all need him just a little more. You have always been in my thoughts and prayers, but now even more so. So stay in prayer and God will take care of all of you. Remember earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
Loving you always in the mighty name of Jesus, your friend for life.
