Our deepest sympathies to the Floyd family. Mrs. Floyd was the matriarch of our neighborhood. Everyone adored her; especially the children. We will miss watching her feed the hawks, her wonderful gardening advice and her beautiful smile. God bless,

I will miss Flo Floyd and so sorry that she has left us. I remember the first time I saw her (in 2003) after I moved into Mandarin Ridge just beyond her house. She was feeding a diving hawk a chicken leg from her hand in her front yard. I knew then and there I had to meet that interesting lady. When I stopped to introduce myself,I was not disappointed to hear her history. Flo, I will miss our little chats immensely...I felt such a warm connection to you. But I know you are happy to be with your family that left this life before you. Enjoy your eternal life, beautiful lady.

I already do and always will miss our Sunday morning talks, your ice tea, sharing your little jelly pastries with me and every once in awhile sharing a piece of chocolate that you hoarded(smile). I'll miss your wit, positive outlook, friendship, wisdom, knowledge and advice. The list goes on. It truly was and always will be an honor and a privledge to say that you were my friend. You showed me someone who lived a full live and left a legacy of that life behind her. And lastly my friend I will always remember your quote to me "Getting old isn't for sissies"! and a sissie you weren't... My family and I were truly blessed to have you in our lives and you will always be remembered in our hearts.

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know you a little Mrs. Floyd. I have fond memories of looking through your old photos and hearing the pride you had in your heart for your family. I loved hearing the stories of what the land used to be like before the interstate and neighborhoods moved in.

You were a woman ahead of your time and not one to sit on the sidelines and I loved that about you. Your smile was something I could always count on. You had such a positive and infectious personality. Driving or walking on Barkowski will never be the same.

To the Family,
Les worked at the railroad with my Dad,
Pat Steger, so we have known him and Flo since the 1940's. Although never in your face friends, we still enjoyed their company on many occassions. They were very caring for my Brother, Bobby Bragg. He spent many weekends with them and loved to help with the turkeys.
After Les passed, later, Flo would host the Mandarin Shrine Club for their fish frys and fund raisers.
You never saw her that she did not have that little smile on her face.
She really was an Angel on Earth who has transsended into Heaven as an Angel with GOD.
God bless you!

This is a going away gathering she came to.

We will never forget you nor your spirit of joy and love. We always wanted to include you in our family but knew you were devoted to the one that God gave to you. Still, you touched our lives and made them better and happier for it. You are a tremendous blessing on this earth and now in heaven. We will miss you till we meet again. Don't get into too much mischief while you are there. They are pretty good at finding you out. :-)

One of God's angels has come home. It has been Ashley's and my great honor to have known you for the past 11 years. You have been, and will continue to be, an inspiration to the many who were blessed to know you. We, too, shall miss your sweet smile and cute little wave, but know that we shall continue to see those precious things everytime we pass your house. You are always in our hearts! With much love, Kimberly and Ashley
