Joyce Johnson Obituary

JOHNSON Joyce Coble Johnson, 67, born on July 29, 1942 in Waycross, GA, was ushered into heaven on May 5, 2010. Joyce fought the good fight against cancer for the past 5 years and had finally won. Joyce was lifelong resident of Jacksonville, FL and was retired from First Coast Supply. She was known for her love for her family and friends. She was a caring and fun spirited lady who was respected by her peers and had touched countless lives with her kindness, class, and generosity. She was a faithful member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God. She was predeceased by her mother, Marie Hesters; father, Gene Tillman; sister, Linda Cobb and brother, Robert Hesters. She leaves to mourn, husband, Kyle Johnson; two daughters, Kelly Trantham (Benny) and Tracy Hollingsworth (Dean); two step sons, Charles Johnson (Diane) and Scott Johnson (Jeanie); two step daughters, Katrina Lewis (Mike) and Jackie Fortt (Tim); brother, Ronald Hesters; 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, many other family members and a multitude of friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Evangel Temple Assembly of God, 5755 Ramona Blvd., Jacksonville, FL and will be officiated by Rev. Cecil and Gary Wiggins and Pastor Al Whiddon. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Evangel Temple Assembly of God (Women's Ministry Department). Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com

Casey, Tracey, Kelly & Family, Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers that God will sustain you as only He can during this difficult time. I will cherish the memories Joyce and I created during the many years of our friendship. She was truly a wonderful friend, and I shall miss our talks and visits so much.
