Torri Caldwell-Rutkowski Obituary

RUTKOWSKI Torri Joann Caldwell-Rutkowski passed peacefully on to a better place, surrounded by her family, on May 2, 2011 at the age of 51, after a short battle with acute liver complications. She was predeceased by her father, Robert W. Caldwell. She leaves behind her loving mother Betty Jo (Bob): her two beautiful children Jordan Joannah (Kacee) and Colton Cuyler (Christina): her natural father, Robert Owens (Kathy); her two brothers, Terry and Robert Caldwell (Cami); her half sister, Diane; one niece and nephew, Brittany and Trey Caldwell. She was born on June 13, 1959. She graduated from Terry Parker in 1977 and studied Cosmetology. She went on to work at AT&T for 17 years. She loved animals and was known for her five cats whom she divided her attention among equally. She loved feeding the birds and the squirrels in her front yard, as animals were just drawn to her. She was a loving, caring daughter and mother who would, given the chance and ability, do anything for anyone. She will be missed forever. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. with Rev. Donald I. Stalvey officiating with interment to follow in Arlington Park cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm Friday, May 6, 2011 at the funeral home. You are heavy on my mind today, Torri. I will miss you the rest of my life and love you times infinity. I still have our drumsticks crossed together on my wall. Thank you for insisting we go see my first band together. We will see one another again one day. Our father, as you know now, mourned you deeply. I know you and he are at peace now with our Father and Jesus. Goodnight sweet angel...until we meet again.

Happy Birthday My special daughter! I know you had a great day with your Dad,MeMe and all our family and friends. Your Dad sent me our special message the last 2 nights, so tonight I would not look at the clock, even though it is a good thing and is meant to comfort me, but tonight was not the time as every thing is still so fresh in my mind. I miss talking to you every day at least once! Last Thursday 6/9/11 God sent me a special gift! I was leaving Jacksonville to return to Ocala and I felt sad leaving, like I was deserting you and the kids. as I was loading my car I notice my Tag for the first since I have owned this car and it had 659 1H?
"6"for your birth month and "59" for the year you were born "1" for my only daughter who is in "H"eaven the last letter I can only guess Snoozing? Jordan and Colton are doing well and going places in life! AS I always said, "Job Well Done. I love and miss you, Your Best. Friend Mom

Torri, My sweet, loving, compassionate, daughter, I miss you so much! I hope you do not know how heavy my heart is.I know you are in heaven with our Lord and Savior as your dad sent me his special message tonight, to let me know you are with him and you are happy among God, family and friends. But I will miss you until I make it to heaven to be with all of you. Mothers are not suppose to bury their children. But God knew your trials, and had a better life for you, he needed you as one of his "Special Angels" to watch over all of us. Colton and Jordan miss and love you. They are busy moving into the home you left for them. They really love each other so much! This is the gift you left for them," LOVE" as you had so much love to give, your love shines though them.

Torri, You and I were bestfriends while we worked at AT&T. We had a lot of good times together, did alot of stupid things but we always had fun. I am sorry that we did not stay in touch with one another after I moved away. You will be greatly missed.

Torri, it has 9 long days since you left us to be with god. We all miss you so much. We hope you are at peace knowing that we all loved you as much as you loved us. You were the most giving person I have ever met. You always gave every thing you had to anyone, although many times your forgot to take care of yourself and would do without to do so. But I must say as a single mom, you made life so easy for Colton. You made sure as a senior this year, He had every thing a young man could ask for, prom, pictures, class ring, trip to Disney, A really nice car for graduation, all this without any help from anyone! He said you did all this for him and now want be able to watch him graduate. However, I know your sweet spirit will walk with him,and we will be there for him. I have found out since you have been gone that I truly was your best friend. I found the poem you wrote to me 31 years ago, about your best friend. Also every legal or banking transaction I have done, I have found out you used me and my birth year as your password. The first time I needed your password I was asked who was your best friend. I put in all your friends from your past and it did not work.Jordan stopped by and I asked her who was your mothers best friend, and she said "Mo" you are her best friend!! Wow that may heart sing! Just know that I will always be there for Jordan and Colton. I hope your will never know how much we are missing you now and forever. What wonderful thing you did for your children,in your death you have made sure that they are off to a good start! They have a beautiful home and the means to take care of things they may want to do. As I said in my first letter to you. "JOB WELL DONE" I will always love you. Your Loving Mother, "Mo"

So many memories--the time Betty Jo took us to "flirty street" and you and Jeannie were in your PJ's in the back seat--the day you almost drowned me in Joannie's pool--family reunions at the "Old Place", riding on the back of the truck thru the woods, picking buckets and buckets of blueberries, fishing in Uncle Austin's Lake--eating homemade biscuits and blueberry jelly--girl we had some good times! You will never be forgotten, you made your stamp on this world and left behind a legacy, two beautiful children and a family that truly loves you. Prayers and comfort for our family from Yahweh God has only HE can give in Jesus' Name.

Dearest Torri,
When married your Mom. I felt blessed because I not only married her, I also got you as a wonderful daughter, 2 sons and the rest of the Caldwell clan added to my family. I will always remember your humor, your beautiful smile, your stories and those outrageous breakfasts you would cook for me and your Mom whenever we were in town. I love you as my daughter and will miss you forever. May you rest in eternal peace, Bob

Torri,
I will always remember your beautiful smile and kind, thoughtful words. You were a teenager when I was born and treated me like a baby doll when I was little. I always looked up to you and wanted to be just like you. I can remember when you became a mother, you were so excited and beamed every time you looked at or even talked about your baby girl, having your son gave you even more joy and such a wonderful light. That love and dedication shows in your children.
Your sweet spirit left a light in each of us that will never burn out. As your brother and sister said today, your forgiving and loving ways will be remembered always.
I am so thankful to have reconnected with you this past year and that I was able to see you and spent time laughing with you. You are a graceful and beautiful soul, I will miss you always.
Rest in Peace my beautiful cousin.

I love you,
Ronnette

Momma... I don't even know how to explain the emptiness inside of my heart right now. I know that we were only close for what seems like a short while, but like you said when we met, it feels like we have always known each other in a way. I will always cherish the time we spent together. Thank you for accepting me as one of your own. Thank you for all of the late night porch talks and the home cookin' (I know that would make you smile.) Thank you also, for blessing me with your wonderful daughter. Like you said, fate brought us together, and fate will keep us that way. You will never be forgotten, I will miss you forever. I will always remember you as my second mother and I am so lucky for the time that I shared with you. I love you so much.

Betty Jo Caldwell

May 6, 2011

Torri, What can I say? You were my best friend and was and will always be my one and only beautiful daughter, that left us behind in a sudden and unexpected way. I was blessed to have you in my life even for the short time we had together. I am so glad we talked most every day. I will miss over visits and conversations. You we a wonderful daughter and even a better Mother. You left behind 2 wonderful, intelligent children, Jordan and Colton. They make us so proud. The two of them really have their heads and hearts in the right place and know what they want in life and where they are going. You will rest in peace knowing this."Job Well Done"! We know you made it to heaven as, PA (DAD) gave Jordan us his sign the next morning at 7:13am. As you took your last breath the lullaby song played in the halls of the hospital telling us a new baby was born. Jordan was so excited, as she was hoping, to know a baby was born at the same time you left us to be with God,Pa,Mother,Joe,Uncle Walter and so many that has gone before us.God needed you more than we did . He only lends us to our loved ones for a short time and can call us at any time. I will remember you always and speak of you often! Your Loving Mother "Mo"
