Leon Kulp Obituary

Leon S. Kulp, 87, of Palmerton, formerly of Catasauqua, died Thursday, May 26, in Blue Mountain Health System's Palmerton Campus. He was the husband of the late Sophie B. (Karpinol) Kulp, who passed away in 2003.
The owned and operated the former Leon S. Kulp Excavating, Wescosville, for 25 years until retiring in 1990.
Born in Telford, he was a son of the late Raymond and Emma (Snyder) Kulp.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Telford.
Kulp was a paratrooper in the Army during World War II, having served in the European Theater of Operations.
Upon returning home after the war, he became a life member of the American Legion.
Surviving are a daughter Linda, wife of Scott Buchfeller of Palmerton; two nieces, Donna and Jill, both of Lansdale; and a nephew Bruce of Split Rock.
He was also predeceased by a sister Jean and a brother Raymond.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. Call 10-11 a.m. Tuesday. Contributions in his name may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, Va. 22312.
