Jerry´s name just popped into my head. I am sorry to hear of his passing. He was great teacher and boss who expected (and I am glad he did-only superior outcomes) whether it be an article in The Collegian or working with him in the Public Information Office. And I truly believe he had a significant impact on my career. Dang, time flies by. My best to the Morrow Family. Harvey

Please know of my continued prayers. Dr. Morrow was a great teacher and I will always remember fondly the valuable lessons he taught me at UT - and the great sense of humor he passed on to his sons.

Dear Betsy, David and Michael, we were so sorry to learn about Jerry. We have really good memories of our friendship with all of you back in Ottawa Hills. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Betsy,
I've thought so often about both of you and today I saw the sad news about Jerry. I know he had had some very difficult years. From my own perspective as a student and as a journalist, I'm glad I had only one journalism course and only one teacher. I remember the laughs, the challenges, and the inspiration to pursue a newspaper
career. He was the best.
My deepest sympathies,

Pat Green (Class of '65)

"Little Things Mean a Lot" sung by Kitty Kallen.
My first journalism lesson from Dr. Morrow in 1974 at Toledo. That song has been a life's mantra for me in all I do.

My deepest sympathy to the Morrow family.

Betsy & Family - I was deeply saddened to learn of Jerry's death. He was my first Journalism professor and I vividly remember that first class and the lessons he taught us. We hadn't a clue what it meant to be a Journalist; Jerry knew and taught us in ways that made sure we never forgot...and I never have. He will be missed and although it may be late in coming...thank you, Dr. Morrow.

Dr. Morrow's influence shaped my career in writing. He was forthright and often brutally honest, which made the lessons he taught highly memorable. During the first class of his I attended, he assigned obituary writing, then selected one to read to the class. When I realized it was mine, I was thrilled...until it became clear it was being used as an example of how NOT to write a death notice. The reason: I used "passed away" instead of "died." He taught me to always say the unflinching, unvarnished truth. I will remember him with great admiration and respect. He was the best and most life-altering teacher I've ever had the honor of knowing.
