I still, (often), think about Ray. There were magical musical moments with Ray. The moments you never forget, where the music touched a spot in our souls. Plus Rays views of the world and life were also pretty amazing. We loved being Aquarius´ together

I just learned of Ray passing and want to extend my sincere condolences to the surviving family, and the family of musicians he touched. I knew Ray through music, as I played harmonica with Blues Confidential over quite a few years. I largely defined my style with Blues Confidential, and that carried me with a number of bands and people throughout my life - all possible thanks to BC and Ray. He was the band's leader, and in many ways a musical mentor for me. Ray had a musical freedom about him. A love for roots music, which I share today.

I'll never forget the many gig's around town in strip clubs and beer joints, the east side rehearsals and talks on socialism and dialectics that would inevitably start after the 3rd beer. Nor will I forget far too many of those god-awful kamikazes bought for the band while on stage and off...it's a drink I hate to this day. Shout out to Haas, Greg, Smitty, Pete...and if I forgot anyone, blame it on the kamikazes.

Thanks Ray.

I was so very sorry to hear of Ray's death. I met him nearly 35 years ago. And although it has been many years since we have had contact, I continued to admire his musical ability, his perceptive thinking, and his gentle ways. He was an "old soul" and a musical gift to the community.

I hope the years before his death were all that he wanted them to be.

My sympathy to his family and those who loved him.

Many years of listening to you Ray gave me my love of the Blues. First heard you at Howards in BG then followed you and your band for years. You played at my brother's bar, the Rumpus Room, and I never missed a show.

Heaven's done called another blues stringer back home.

Rest in peace Ray.

Ray, you were like a brother. You taught me so much musically. I will always enjoy our conversations about life and death, cosmic destiny, and our deep conversations about being Aquarian.

Everything was about feeling to Ray. His music, friends, family, etc... I enjoyed playing with Ray so much. Use to love playing the "Gibson Creek Shuffle" with him.

He's up there playing with the greats now. See you again my friend.

I really enjoyed getting to know Ray during the 4 years we played music together in Blues Confidential, and I enjoyed seeing him throughout the years, afterwards. Ray is a great guitarist who spoke through his music. We had some crazy times making music together. My condolences to Ray's family.
