Edward VANDERPOL Obituary

VANDERPOL Edward Edward J. VanderPol, age 91, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, April 20th, 2010 at Ridgewood Manor, Maumee, Ohio. He was born November 9th, 1918 to Edmond and Martha VanderPol in Toledo. Ed was involved in the construction business owning Royal Development Corp for more than 20 years. He was a Past President of the Home Builders, Toledo Association. Ed was a graduate of Macomber High School and served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was also a longtime parishioner of Christ the King Church and a member of the Eagles. In addition to his parents, Ed was just recently preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Mary Margaret "Marge" VanderPol; son, Dennis and Carl VanderPol and grandson, Brent VanderPol. He is survived by his children, children, Fred (Darlene) and Jeff VanderPol and Diane (Mike) Driscoll; daughter-in-law, Steevie VanderPol -Wenslow; grandchildren, Mark; Cindy; Todd; Kirk; Matt; Mike and Greg; David; Chelsea; Mandy; Sean; great grandchildren; Shawn; Nathan; Casey; Maggie; Riley; Reise; Ragen; Chelsea Addison; Lilie and Elle; sister, Rosemary Kurt and many dear friends. The family will receive guests Sunday from 5-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
