Jean COMORA Obituary

COMORA Jean Mahler Jean Mahler Comora passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 31, 2010. She was 96 years old. Jean was born and raised in New York City and attended Hunter College. After marrying Philip Comora she raised her three children, Mark Comora, Karen Comora Dismorr and Gayle Comora Retske in New Jersey. She taught 3rd grade for many years in Eatontown, New Jersey. After retirement Jean moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. After living in Florida for 40 years, she moved to Toledo to be near her daughter, Gayle, in 2009. Jean is preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Comora Dismorr. She is survived by her son, Mark (Arlene) Comora and her daughter Gayle (Bob) Retske; and her grandchildren David (Laura) Comora, Adam (Hillary) Comora, Heather Retske, Michael Retske, Barry Dismorr and Stephen (Michelle) Zimora and her brother, Herbert Mahler. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Temple Shomer Emunim on Tuesday, January 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider donations to Temple Shomer Emunim or The Victory Center, 5531 W. Central Avenue, Toledo, OH 43615 Funeral arrangements were provided by Robert Wick / Wisniewski Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Roby Franklin for all her care, which she lovingly gave to our mother. Roby has truly been our "angel". We would also like to thank the staff at West Park Place for all their caring and attention they gave to mom.
