Gwendolyn Marie



Gwendolyn M. Stubblefield was born January 17, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio to Albert and Dorothy Stubblefield. She departed this life on Sunday, March 2, 2014, succumbing to cancer. A 1967 graduate of Libbey High School, she worked as a nurse's aid for 43 years, retiring in 2011.

A member of All Saints Episcopal Church, she was Vice President of the All Saints Order of the Daughters of the King and Secretary of the Episcopal Church Women.

Gwen is survived by her sisters, Karen (Keith) Hall and Janis Stubblefield; brother, Joseph D. Stubblefield; aunts, Edith Berline (Clinton) Brown and Barbara Moore; uncle, Ronald Dunson; special cousin, Edith (Clarence) Washington; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Albert R. Stubblefield Jr., Glen Stubblefield, and Rufus Grant (R.G.) Stubblefield.

Visitation will be at The House of Day Funeral Home on Monday, March 10, from 4-6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, Tuesday, March 11, at 11 a.m.
